Injections with lip fillers

Lip fillers

Full, beautifully curved lips stand for sensuality and beauty. Thin lips, on the other hand, quickly appear pinched. You can create your dream mouth relatively simply and quickly: using injections with degradable or permanent fillers.

Hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite are two of the degradable fillers used. Depending on the product and individual factors, degradable substances must be reinjected every six to twelve months. We’ll select the ideal substance to suit your requirements, guaranteeing you the best results. Then, the filler is injected using a special injection technique and the lips are slowly built up to your specifications. An anaesthetic is possible for sensitive patients.

The first effects can be seen immediately after the treatment. Slight swelling of the lips or slight bruising are normal. In the first few hours after the injection, you should refrain from any lively facial movements, intensive kissing or speaking too much. More than for the other injection techniques, the doctor’s many years of experience with various materials in the region of the lips is extremely important. At the HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER, we have been your experts for lip plumping using degradable and permanent fillers for over 20 years.

Informations about lip fillers

Lip modelling offers the chance for you to specifically improve the shape and volume of your lips. A beautiful shape has an emphasis on the Cupid’s bow and the red-white border, the clear dividing line between the red of the lips and the face’s skin. As a rule, degradable fillers such as hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite are used for this.

Lip modelling is intended for patients who want to improve the volume or shape of their lips quickly and easily. We always attach great importance to a natural result that is personally adapted to the patient.

The ideal injection substance is selected in advance on an individual basis for the best result. The filler is then inserted using a special injection technique and the lips are slowly built up according to the patient’s expectations. If the result is not perfect on the first attempt, it can be reworked a few days after the injection. Anaesthesia is possible for sensitive patients.

A treatment only takes a few minutes. Depending on the product and the condition of the lips, the substances must be re-injected every six to twelve months to maintain the result permanently.

You do not have to plan in a recovery period with lip modelling. However, a slight swelling of the lips or a small bruise is normal.

You should avoid vivid facial expressions, intensive kissing and too much talking in the first few hours after the injection.

Well-formed, voluminous but still natural looking lips can be achieved using filler injections. The first positive effects are instantly visible after the treatment.

Even more than with other injection techniques, the doctor’s many years of experience in handling various materials is extremely important, especially in the lip area.

FAQ

At the HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER we exclusively use branded preparations that are specifically produced for shaping lips. In most cases this is high-quality hyaluronic acid.

The probability of the filler accumulating and resulting in lumps can be reduced to a minimum by only using high-quality injection materials. If, contrary to expectations, a lump should nevertheless form, the hyaluronic acid administered can be dissolved again by experienced dermatologists.

As the lips’ skin is very thin and therefore extremely sensitive, a local anaesthetic can be applied in the form of a special cream before the treatment. Modern fillers for lip correction also contain a mild anaesthetic which makes the treatment more comfortable. Although the lips cannot be injected painlessly, the fine injections are usually bearable.

If the result is not pronounced enough, the amount of filler can be readjusted a few days after the injection. If, on the other hand, too much filler has been injected, the hyaluronidase enzyme taken from the body can be administered into the lips by another injection. The hyaluronic acid dissolves completely within between 24 and 48 hours.

Unfortunately no. The natural shape of the lips can be enhanced with an injection, but cannot be changed.
