Aptos Excellence method

With this innovative thread lift method, the special Aptos hyaluronic acid threads are the key element for effective treatment. The PCL threads with added hyaluronic acid, which have small, bidirectional cones, provide a tightening and revitalising effect and are completely broken down by the body within 18 to 24 months. The thread material also stimulates the natural elastin, collagen, and hyaluronic acid production in the tissue – for visibly younger looking skin.

The method is particularly suitable for patients with the first signs of loose skin in the face. On average, we are talking about women and men aged between 35 and 55. All signs of ageing on the face, which require slight tightening and skin rejuvenation to restore the natural facial contours, can be treated. Areas of application include the forehead, marionette and laughter lines, a sagging neck and chin, sagging cheeks, drooping eyebrows or a loss of volume on the lower eyelid, and generally tired looking facial features. The method also achieves excellent results with the contouring of the nose, especially when modelling the tip of the nose.

In principle, patients treated using the Aptos Excellence method do not need to take any special precautions. Blood-thinning medication should only be avoided about one week before the treatment.

In the first step, the area being treated is numbed with an anaesthetic ointment or local nerve blocking injection – for an almost painless treatment. Then the puncture sites are marked and the threads are placed under the skin using special needles. The individual threads are placed by our dermatologists so they are not visible from the outside and cannot slip, without damaging any blood vessels or nerves.

Depending on the size of the area being treated and the number of threads used, the Aptos Excellence method takes between 20 and 40 minutes.

As a rule, the Aptos Excellence method does not require a long recovery period. In exceptional cases, slight swelling and bruising may occur after the treatment. However, these fade away after a few days and make-up can be applied over them. Nevertheless, important appointments should not be made for the first three days after treatment. Furthermore, sports, sauna, sunbathing and dental treatment should be avoided in the first three days after the thread lift.

The Aptos Excellence method is impressive due to its dual action: the skin is not only visibly rejuvenated, but also tightened in the long term. The firming lifting effect is instantly visible after the treatment. The injected Aptos threads also stimulate the body’s own healing processes – for a naturally rejuvenated complexion. The Aptos Excellence thread lift’s effect lasts for about one and a half to two years.

Slight bruising and swelling as well as minimal inflammation may appear at the puncture sites for about two to three days after the treatment. The Aptos Excellence method should be carried out in sterile conditions and only by certified and qualified dermatologists to avoid this inflammation.
