CELLFINA®

CELLFINA® effectively helps against cellulite

CELLFINA® Munich

Cellulite is a typically female phenomenon that is estimated to affect more than 85% of all women over 20 years of age. In the meantime, there are numerous treatment methods that are more or less successful, but in some cases do not offer any proven long-term success. In the fight against the annoying dimples, the HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER in Munich is therefore one of the first practices in Germany to expand its broad portfolio with the innovative CELLFINA® procedure. The minimally invasive treatment improves skin elasticity and combats cellulite of severity 3 and 4 on the thighs and buttocks for the first time in just one session for at least two years.

What is CELLFINA®?

CELLFINA® is the only approved treatment technique against cellulite whose effectiveness has been recognised in clinical tests, over a period of two years and longer. In addition, the treatment is EU-CE certified and has even been tested and approved by the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which is considered particularly critical.

The aim of the CELLFINA® treatment is to loosen the fine connective tissue fibres that are responsible for the dents typical of cellulite and thus to smooth the skin’s appearance for a long time. The modern minimally invasive procedure is carried out in an outpatient treatment technique and under local anaesthetic.

How does cellulite develop?

The reason for the so-called orange peel skin is the special arrangement of connective tissue fibres, which are located in the fatty tissue under the skin and run parallel to each other in women. If fat cells squeeze through between the fibres, they become visible on the surface of the skin. The typical misshapen relief is the result. This is not harmful to the body, but is generally perceived as very unsightly. Cellulite primarily occurs on the thighs and buttocks. Excess weight or weak connective tissue favour its development. Men, by the way, hardly know this problem at all. Their connective tissue has a net-like structure and is therefore much more stable.

When does the CELLFINA® treatment make sense?

In summer it is particularly difficult to adequately conceal the areas of skin affected by cellulite, as these are difficult to hide in shorts and skirts. Many women therefore avoid wearing lighter clothing out of shame. Not infrequently, the self-esteem of these women suffers massively as a result. The resulting social restrictions and even the development of mild depression are frequent side effects. In such cases, the treatment with CELLFINA® makes sense, as it demonstrably brings improvement and can thus provide a whole new attitude towards life. The procedure is suitable for every adult with cellulite. However, the health condition will be examined and assessed by the treating doctor in a preliminary consultation beforehand.

How does the treatment work?

CELLFINA® works according to the principle of so-called subcision. During the minimally invasive outpatient procedure, shortened connective tissue fibres, also called septa, are loosened in a controlled manner under local anaesthesia. These fibres exert traction on the skin from below and thus, together with the fat cells, cause the dents typical of cellulite. After marking the area to be treated, the circular handpiece sucks in the tissue by means of a vacuum, while a lancet-shaped blade about six millimetres long moves back and forth under the skin with jiggling movements. The procedure is then repeated on the next marked area. The result: the skin springs upwards, the tissue pads up and looks much smoother after just one treatment. Blood vessels and nerves remain completely unharmed. Just contact us, we will be happy to advise you at any time: Contact!

Frequently asked questions from our patients

A session lasts about 60 minutes, this varies depending on the size of the skin area to be treated. In this time, up to 25 circular skin areas can be treated with the handpiece. A visible result can be expected after only three days and usually lasts up to two years. The treatment is not associated with any prolonged downtime. After the treatment, there may only be slight bruising, but this will disappear completely after a few days.

The appearance of cellulite can be significantly optimised after just one session. A first visible result can be expected after three days. A significant improvement is finally achieved after about ten months and lasts for two years or longer.

No special precautions need to be taken beforehand. After the treatment, however, sports and heavy physical exertion should be avoided for the first 24 hours.

Swelling and bruising may occur after the session. In addition, most patients (82 %) experience a slight pain at the injection sites when touched directly or when pressure is applied. However, after about three days, the discomfort is considered minimal.

In general, patients can return to their usual activities immediately after the CELLFINA® procedure, but if you have a physically demanding job, it is advisable to plan at least one day off for this.

The HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER in Munich performs the CELLFINA® procedure on the thighs as well as the buttocks, the areas of the body most frequently affected by cellulite.

As this is a purely aesthetic medical treatment, the costs can unfortunately not be settled with the health insurance.

The quickly visible and long-lasting treatment results were proven in a registration study. 85% of the women treated were satisfied with the results of one session after three months, 93% even after a total of three years. This means that CELLFINA® has a very high success rate with long-lasting results.

Especially for firmer skin as well as an even better result, the body contouring experts at HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER in Munich combine the CELLFINA® method with a PDO thread treatment.
The degradable threads known from the Korean V-Lift form a kind of supporting corset under the skin, which additionally tightens the skin.
