Eyelid correction

Small procedure for fresh and radiant eyes

Eyelid correction

The skin around the eyes is up to ten times thinner than the rest of the facial skin. This makes it especially sensitive and susceptible to the skin’s aging process – whether due to genetic or external factors. Over time, pronounced facial expressions or excessive exposure to the sun, for example, can cause a growing number of fine lines to form around the eyes, often referred to as crow’s feet. The upper lids also droop, just like hereditary hooded eyelids. Over time, the lower lids also become saggy: bags appear under the eyes and small, unattractive fat deposits form.

The latest methods in aesthetic medicine allow us to achieve remarkable results with relatively little trouble. An eyelid correction makes you appear fresher, more radiant and years younger. At HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER, this procedure is carried out with an intravenous short period anesthesia. For the upper lid treatment, a laser scalpel makes an incision in the eyelid’s natural crease. Excessive skin is removed with a CO2 laser which is so fine that the scars are minimal, hardly visible and are concealed in the crease of the lid. The suture material is removed after seven to ten days. If your vision is impaired due to hooded eyelids, your health insurance provider may reimburse the costs under certain circumstances.

Especially procedures close to the eyes require an extraordinary level of experience and surgical skill so as not to damage the nerve structure, while achieving an exceptional aesthetic result at the same time. Eyelid corrections have been part of the treatment portfolio at HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER for more than 15 years.
