The process begins with a two-week local preliminary treatment of the affected areas using vitamin A acid cream and Synchroline Terproline lotion. The pre-treatment improves the skin’s texture and ensures that it is optimally prepared for the next stage of the process, which involves anaesthetising the area to be treated and piercing the skin along the entire length of the individual stretch marks with a special needle. This simulates a natural injury and sets the body’s own healing processes in motion. At the HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER we further this process by injecting the patient’s own blood into the area around the stretch marks. The blood is taken from the patient and prepared before use. Injecting the patient’s blood stimulates collagen production in the treated cells. Once the surgical procedure is complete, the affected areas are disinfected and, where appropriate, undergo subsequent treatment with an ultra-pulse CO2 laser.

Finally, the affected areas are compressed using an adhesive bandage, which presses the stretch marks together firmly during the healing process. The adhesive bandage is left on for one week. On the eighth day after treatment, the patient starts applying vitamin A acid cream and Synchroline Terproline lotion to the treated area again. The combination of the three procedures – piercing the skin, injecting the patient’s own blood and laser therapy – results in firming of the collagen and elastic connective tissue over the four-week healing period, counteracting the slackening that causes the stretch marks in the first place. The effect: The stripes become significantly narrower. For satisfactory results, we recommend up to three treatments at intervals of three to six months.
