It is not only wrinkles and changes in pigmentation like age spots which make us look older. As we age, the contours of our face lose shape due to the redistribution of fat deposits and a general reduction in the skin’s elasticity. A young female face forms a perfect triangle with high cheekbones and a narrow chin. Over time, as the fat in the top half of the face is reduced slowly, gravity leads to fat deposits and sagging skin in the bottom third of the face.

In such cases liquid lifting is a highly effective and almost painless alternative to conventional surgical facelifts. Reduced fat deposits are filled by injecting large amounts of a filling substance like hyaluronic acid. The result: the whole face – especially the lower half, including cheeks, chin and nasolabial folds between the nose and mouth – is smoothened, sagging areas are tightened and lifted and the skin’s general elasticity is improved.

For double chins or very saggy cheeks we frequently combine liquid lifting with injection lipolysis or an Ultherapy treatment at HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER. We decide on how many sessions are required according to your skin’s individual needs and the desired outcome.

The treatment takes around 30 minutes and the results can last up to two years depending on the filling substance used. There are no side effects such as excessive tightening of the skin which restricts facial expressions.
