STRETCH MARKS – OTHER THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES
At the HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER we use this process to complement the Rio method. It involves the subcutaneous injection of carbon dioxide into stretch marks using tiny needles. From there, the gas dissipates into the surrounding tissue. CO2 has a vasodilating effect, resulting in the oxygenation of the affected area and regeneration of the connective tissue. Sunken stretch marks become flush with the surrounding skin, making shadows disappear.
Our practice only uses Mesotherapy to treat stretch marks that are less than 18 months old – namely, those that are still red in colour. The therapy is carried out in cycles. We can only determine the number of treatments required after a through preliminary examination.
