Lipodissolve Injection

Method for fat reduction

Lipodissolve Injection in the HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM

So-called injection lipolysis is another method that the doctors at HAUT- UND LASERZENTRUM AN DER OPER were the first to introduce in Germany. Since 2000, the procedure has been successfully offered as part of the extensive portfolio, as an alternative or supplement to liposuction.

What is a lipodissolve injection?

Lipodissolve Injection originated in Brazil. The aim of the injection method is to dissolve stubborn fat deposits and to lead to a reduction of the existing problem areas. An active ingredient derived from soybeans is used. Alternatively, dihydroxycholanic acid, a bile acid, is used. The term “Aqualyx” is used to describe a gentler version of the Lipodissolve Injection, which also softens the membrane of the fat cells and dissolves the fat from the inside. It produces effective and lasting results that are even better and more uniform than the traditional Lipodissolve Injection.

How does the Lipodissolve Injection work?

The Lipodissolve Injection is a method of gradually reducing fatty tissue by injecting active substances into the fat pads in a targeted manner. However, it is important to emphasise that the effectiveness of the treatment depends on various factors and cannot be guaranteed. Results can vary from patient to patient and usually take place over several sessions.

The advantage of Lipodissolve Injection is that the treatment is minimally invasive and therefore suitable for patients who do not want surgery or are not candidates for liposuction for health reasons. The results are usually permanent, provided a healthy lifestyle is maintained.

Who is injection lipolysis suitable for?

Lipodissolve Injection is particularly suitable for defined, smaller fat deposits in women and men that stubbornly persist despite a balanced diet and regular exercise. Injection lipolysis is particularly suitable for the treatment of problem areas such as:

  • Double chin
  • sagging cheeks
  • upper arms
  • chest
  • abdomen
  • Hips
  • Riding breeches
  • Thighs
  • Knees

A combination with other treatments such as Cryolipolysis – non-invasive fat reduction through cold – and Ultherapy – tightening of the skin through high-frequency ultrasound – can enhance the effect of the Lipodissolve Injection and improve the results. However, Lipodissolve Injection is not suitable for large fat deposits or for weight reduction in general. In these cases, classic liposuction is more recommended.

How does the treatment work?

Consultation with the doctor

Before the treatment, there is always a detailed consultation with one of our experienced doctors. Your individual wishes and expectations are discussed and your state of health and skin condition are examined. Together with you, the doctor will select the area to be treated and inform you about the course of the treatment as well as possible risks and side effects. The consultation also gives you the opportunity to ask open questions and express your concerns. Our aim is for you to feel well informed and confident before you decide to undergo treatment with the Lipodissolve Injection.

Preparation

Before the treatment you should make sure that you have drunk enough and are well rested. In addition, you should avoid taking blood-thinning medication such as aspirin in the days before the treatment to minimise the risk of bruising and swelling. It is also advisable to wear loose-fitting and comfortable clothing, as the treated area may be sensitive after the injection. Before treatment, the area to be treated is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimise the risk of infection.

Treatment

The Lipodissolve Injection is injected almost painlessly into the fat deposit to be treated using a seven to ten centimetre long blunt cannula. The special injection technique makes it possible to shape the body in a very targeted way. Anaesthesia is not necessary. For very sensitive patients it is possible to mix the Lipodissolve Injection with a local anaesthetic.

A session only takes about 15 minutes. As we dissolve the fat very carefully, 2 – 6 treatments are necessary at least 14 days apart.

Aftercare

To keep side effects as low as possible, we only administer precisely controlled amounts of active ingredient per session. Nevertheless, in individual cases there may be slight redness or swelling and itching. The skin may also be a little sensitive to pressure for a few days.We advise not to apply any cosmetics to the treated area for about twelve hours. In addition, sports and extreme heat (sauna, solarium, steam bath) should be avoided for three days.

When does the Lipodissolve Injection work?

The Lipodissolve Injection can be used to permanently melt away fat deposits. However, a little patience is needed before the effect becomes apparent. The final result is only visible 3-4 weeks after the last injection. However, the results are individual and can vary from patient to patient.
Please note that the Lipodissolve Injection does not work the same for every patient and there is no guarantee for the result. Success depends on various factors such as individual predisposition, lifestyle and diet. However, a visible reduction of fat tissue of up to 30% can usually be achieved.
