CORRECTION OF LARGE MONS PUBIS

Many women are unhappy about abnormal adipose tissue distribution which cannot be influenced by diet, specific training or other measures such as massage. This can also affect the mons pubis (suprapubic area) as a result of hormonal changes or the effects of age. Many women dislike having a very prominent mons pubis which is visible through tight clothing. The problem can be remedied or improved by careful liposuction of the unwanted fat.

 

The fat is removed by tumescent liposuction through a small 3-mm incision in the public area with a micro canulla. Severe pain is unlikely. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and takes between 60 and 90 minutes. Compression garments have to be worn for approx. 6 weeks after the treatment. The patient also has to avoid sex for 1 week after treatment. Sport is possible after around 4 days. Temporary impairment to vaginal sensitivity is possible.
