STRETCH MARKS

RIO METHOD

We treat stretch marks with the RIO METHOD, which was developed by Brazilian dermatologists. It is an outpatient treatment performed under local anaesthetic. The procedure involves micro injuries which encourage the body to grow new connective tissue. Obviously, the positive effects are more noticeable and the treatment works better in younger patients. After the treatment, a tape or compression bandage has to be worn for 7 days and compression garments for another 2 to 4 weeks. 2 to 3 treatments at 3 to 6 month intervals are necessary to achieve a satisfactory result.
