FAT INJECTIONS

This procedure is excellent for the correction of deep wrinkles or to plump up lips. It can also be used to fill sunken cheeks, temples or the backs of the hands. Tissue defects after surgery or as a result of accidents or injuries can also be treated by fat injection.

 

This is an out-patient procedure which is performed under local anaesthetic. Surplus fat is removed from the patient’s body – usually from the stomach, bottom or thighs – and re-injected into the area being treated. The advantage of this method is that it does not cause allergies because the substance being injected is taken from the patient’s own body.
